Academic Personnel Policies
There are two main sources of Academic Personnel Policies at UCSD:
- Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM)
This is UCSD specific. The entire policy can be found at https://adminrecords.ucsd.edu/PPM/ppmindex.html - Academic Personnel Manual (APM)
This policy applies generally to all campus and can be found at http://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel/academic-personnel-policy/index.html
2017 REVISION OF PPM
In 2017, campus issued revised PPM. The revised PPM removed redundancies of policy contained in the APM. It also breaks each appointment type out as individual policy.

Rescinded Policy (prior to 2017) is still available online.
It can be used in cases where the new policy does not cover a specific topic and for which that topic is not address in the Academic Personnel Process Manual (https://aps.ucsd.edu/tools/processmanual/index.html).
